The Compacting Factor Apparatus is used to determine the compaction factor of concrete with low, medium and high workability. The apparatus consists of two conical hoppers mounted on a cylinder. Each hopper has a hinged flange with quick release mechanism and everything is mounted on a rigid steel stand. The compacting factor is the ratio between the weight of the partially compacted concrete and the weight of the fully compacted concrete.
