Product Description
This gauge is a heavy-gauge sheet-steel plate fitted with seven parallel-sided elongated slots of progressively decreasing width, built to the dimensions set out in BS 812. Coarse aggregate is separated into its standard sieve fractions and each fraction is tried against its matching slot; any particle that passes through is one whose least dimension falls below 0.6 of its nominal size, giving the average least dimension index used to judge particle shape.
