A galvanized steel extension rod section used to lengthen a Dynamic Cone Penetrometer's drive string for deeper soil penetration testing. It couples between the DCP's drive rod and cone tip via a threaded connection, allowing continuous depth readings beyond the standard range, commonly used in sets to reach depths up to 2m or more.
